Reinventing Venture Capital Summit Brings Family Offices, LPs and Angel Investors to San Francisco on October 29

SAN FRANCISCO, October 19, 2026 – Reinventing Venture Capital, an exclusive investment summit for LPs, VCs, angels, family offices, foundations, institutional capital and corporate investors, will take place on October 29, 2026 in San Francisco. Hosted by Expert Dojo and produced by Angel Launch, the summit will focus on changing business models for venture capital, tech investing and LP/GP expectations in the age of AI.

The program asks a central question: Where is alpha being created today?

Brian Mac Mahon will open the summit with insights into how to transform venture capital business models, meet LP/GP expectations, and redefine the future of tech investing in the era of AI. Jeremiah Owyang, General Partner at Blitzscaling Ventures, will deliver the keynote on agentic AI. Uli Maybach, President & Founder of the Maybach Foundation, will join a closing fireside chat before the cocktail reception.

Its “Alpha Wars: Beyond Venture Capital” session compares how leading investors generate alpha in different sectors like digital assets, real estate, city and town ownership and private equity against traditional venture capital. The session will feature Michael Terpin on Alpha in Digital Assets, along with an incredible lineup that includes Tom Hix and Joe Berko, amongst others. Other sessions include talks by William Lam and Michael Houlihan, plus panels with super angels and family offices.

The summit is built around five principles: performance-first capital structures, true alignment between LPs and operators, consistent 5x-10x outcomes, transparent accountability metrics and ownership-centric venture design.

Attendance is free for approved accredited investors. Startups, tech professionals and vendors can purchase tickets or host a demo table; pitching is not permitted. Orbis86, which builds emerging tech communities through its Engage – Educate – Elevate approach, is a marketing partner.
